PLANZ have representatives on a number of MOE Advisory Groups where the expertise in Professional Learning and Development can contribute to different educational thinking and direction.

Professional Leaning Aeoteroa PLANZ was officially launched by Marama Fox on April 12th in the Foyer in the Beehive, Wellington, New Zealand. Over 75 people attended including Representatives from the Ministry of Education, David Seymour, Katherine Dalahunter, representatives from the Catholic Education Office, Education Council, School Leaders, Distinguished Academics, Ngāi Tahu and delegates from Professional Learning Development Organisations from both English and Māori Medium.
The association will be officially launched in April 2016 with an official ceremony. Details will be advised.
PLANZ has been invited to participate in the consultation process with the Ministry of Education (New Zealand) with the goal of introducing accreditation for Facilitators including the associated criteria.
Establishment members of PLANZ are: Cognition Education, CORE Education, Evaluation Associates, NZCER, Te Tapuae o Rehua, University of Auckland, University of Canterbury, University of Otago, and University of Waikato. We comply to the following rules found here.
